Tiscornia, Ana
Artist Statement
Ana Tiscornia’s discrete objects, sculptures, and collages, result from the manipulation of customary materials, intervention of tools, pieces of furniture, and other daily objects.
Behind these constructions at the same time obscure and familiar, articulating a series of paradoxes depicting a sort of devastation through a language linked with architecture, or rearranging a “place” that seems the result of displacement and dislocation, there is a search for a potential poetics that sets up visual situations in a kind of cartography of social oblivion while exposing and recovering scattered fragments of a utopian project.
