Venezuelan Artist, Eugenio Espinoza presents for the first time his installation, “The Rite of Spring”. This project is part of a series that was conceived in the 70’s.
Furthermore, this installation incorporates the renowned opus of the Russian composer, Igor Stravinsky, and was conceived with the intention of creating a visual space and structure inspired in music.
Simultaneously a series of Espinoza’s recent works, that register the process of the creation of the installation, will be displayed.
Eugenio Espinoza’s first one man exhibition was held in 1972 at the “Museo de Bellas Artes” in Caracas, Venezuela. He was 22 years old. Concurrently with his show in Alejandra von Hartz Gallery, he will participate in “Three Perspectives” at CIFO (Cisneros Fontanals Art Foundation), as part of that institutions’ s prestigious Commissions Program (March 16, 2007).
He lives and works in Miami, USA and Caracas, Venezuela.
